Overcoming Sugar Addiction


So I have to come out of the closet on this one and let you all know that I am addicted to Sugar!! Big surprise right! I am sure most of us are, but I am coming to realize that my addiction is a little out of control. So I started reading up on tips to control it and I really liked this article. It is simple and basic, but it is what I needed. I know I can do this because I have controlled it before. The first week or two I know will be hard, but I know how good I will feel when I get over it! Wish me luck!!! and don't offer me sugar!!

5 K and more Running

Well it is a new week! On Thanksgiving day I participated in my first 5 k with my mom and Andrea. Andrea did very well and ran most of the way. My mom stayed back with me since I have exercised that hard in about 3 months. We walked and ran, but we had fun and we finished! I had a lot of fun doing it and it made me want to continue running so I can join in for more races! I actually had a good time! So this morning after I got up and fed Hannah, I went on a run/walk for about 20 minutes today! I made a plan with Chris to do this each morning so he will get up with Hannah! I am excited and want to sign up for more races right now to keep me motivated!! I will be extremely slow, but if anyone wants to run with me or knows of any races let me know!!!Maybe one day I really will enjoy running! (That has always been a goal!)

why?

Kim thoughts......Why is dieting so hard!? I think my biggest issue right now is that if someone offers me something unhealthy I can't say No!!! Why is that! I know I am addicted to junk, especially chocolate and I really need to stop! I know a little is okay, but I think I am pretty much over doing it!! My other issue is that Chris is not dieting, so what I would like to have for dinner is not what he would like to have for dinner! So instead of making 2 different things, I of course make what he would want! I think that is why I am so desperate for new recipes! Thank you for all who have donated ideas! They will come in to good use! On a good note I am doing wonderful with drinking enough water and I did get my walk in today! Yippee! Plus I will be doing a 3 mile run/walk with my mom and sister on Thanksgiving....i will be mostly walking, but at least I am doing it right!!!!

Kim Thoughts!

So today I am feeling pretty good! I have yet to exercise, but it is only 10:30 am! I will get it done! I have a salad ready for lunch, so that will help me feel good, but I really want to make a cheese ball and i know that probably isn't the best. If only there wasn't co much chocolate in the world I would probably be a lot thinner!! But I admit what a boring life we would have without our chocolate! My real thoughts today are finding good easy quick healthy recipes I could use for lunches and dinners, that both Chris and I would like! I am drinking my water and learning to get out of the house more which always helps my attitude, plus gets me away from snacking all day!! Well those are my thoughts for the day, random but oh well!!

First Day

So here we are. Our official weight loss blog! We will be posting all sorts of goodies, mostly for us to help each other stay on track, but we are open to compliments!!!....help in any way, good recipes, or any good ways to exercise, pretty much anything!
We will be posting exercises we do each day, our food intake each day and any thoughts we have on our days work! I know this will hep us and I know we can do it!!
